Ever dream of walking straight onto a ride without waiting in line? Well, Disney’s Fastpass won’t exactly let you do that, but it’s as close as you’re ever going to get. Disney created FastPass to make waiting easier on guests, and to more evenly distribute the lines on their most popular attractions. Apparently the system is working, because Disney keeps adding more and more rides to the FastPass system.

“You can fly, you can fly, you can fly!” Well, sort of. You can fly if you first board a pirate ship attached to cables that lift it off the ground. I know…way to bring realism into somewhere it shouldn’t be. I love Peter Pan’s flight…I always have. There’s nothing quite like getting in that pirate ship and flying over the rooftops of London all the way to Neverland… (more…)

The empire that Walt Disney created all began with a mouse. It’s fitting that the most famous mouse in the world has a place to call his own. And where else would Mickey live other than Disneyland? (Okay, he lives in the other Disney parks, too. Whatever. Don’t burst my bubble). Mickey’s Toontown is a place made just for toons…where Mickey and Minnie both have their own houses, and Goofy’s gas stations asks, “Did we goof up your car today?” The manholes in the street are, of course, toonholes, and the Third Little Piggie’s Bank awaits your business. I remember taking a trip to Disneyland as a little girl…everything about the park was magical. From the flowers in the shape of Mickey’s head as I entered the park to the view of the castle as I looked down Main Street. I would watch the Small World dolls dance around as the clock struck the hour. I remember riding through Alice in Wonderland with my sister and being frightened of all the glowing animals. Of all my childhood memories, those that involve Disneyland are some of the most vivid.
